The consultation period on the three remaining Compact Codes of Practice (Consultation & Policy Appraisal, Community Groups, Partnership) will begin in Compact Week. You have the opportunity to make comment on these Codes to ensure that they are ‘fit for purpose’ and best suited to what Devon needs.

We will be discussing the new draft Codes of Practice at the next meeting of the South Hams Voluntary Sector Forum Meeting which takes place on the 29th November in Kingsbridge.  We hope that you can join us.

• Consultation & Policy Appraisal - This Code of Practice aims to have a positive impact on the way in which the statutory sector consults on and appraises its policies in respect of the voluntary and community sector. It also offers best practice pointers for consultation within sectors.
• Community Groups - This Code of Practice aims to promote and support the work of the community sector in Devon.
• Partnership - This Code of Practice aims to have a positive impact on the way in which partnerships in Devon are established and organised in order to achieve their goals
