Communities and Local Government has published: 'the National Indicators for Local Authorities and Local Authority Partnerships: Handbook of Definitions - Draft for Consultation'. The consultation period will run until 21 December.

If you run an organisation or activity that has a particular need for volunteers at Christmas, including the actual day, please tell us now at the volunteer centre! People specially like to show their goodwill at this time, and once started with you they may well continue. We would like to publicise your plans on our Do-it pages and in other ways.

The consultation period on the three remaining Compact Codes of Practice (Consultation & Policy Appraisal, Community Groups, Partnership) will begin in Compact Week. You have the opportunity to make comment on these Codes to ensure that they are ‘fit for purpose’ and best suited to what Devon needs.

The South Hams Voluntary Sector Forum and Annual General Meeting for South Hams CVS had a bumper turnout; with nearly 30 representatives from local voluntary and community organisations, and also representatives from local and district council, health and others taking part.
