Voluntary Sector Forum and AGM - a success!

The South Hams Voluntary Sector Forum

The South Hams Voluntary Sector Forum and Annual General Meeting for South Hams CVS had a bumper turnout  with nearly 30 representatives from local voluntary and community organisations, and also representatives from local and district council, health and others taking part.

The Forum had guest speakers updating on developments with the new Devon PCT, and also a speaker on how to get support with your ICT needs.  The lively event finished with a buffet social lunch and was followed with the Annual General Meeting of South Hams CVS.  Chairman, Hugh McCahill, sadly missed the event due to sickness, but all participants wished him a speedy recovery, and the AGM was chaired by Ron Bates, Treasurer of South Hams CVS.  David Lingard joined South Hams CVS as a new trustee to compliment the other trustees of the organisation.

Keeping to tradition of speedy AGMs, this one didn't quite beat the previous record, but was enjoyed by all and the new Annual Review of activity of how South Hams CVS supports local communities by supporting local community action, was launched.
